GREATER HUDSON VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM APPOINTS NEW CATSKILL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – 11/17/2011
Harris, N.Y. – After an extensive nationwide search, the Greater Hudson Valley Health System, comprised of Catskill Regional Medical Center and Orange Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce Frederick H. Kuriger, FACHE, has been named Catskill Regional Medical Center’s new Chief Executive Officer.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kuriger will oversee all day-to-day operations of Catskill Regional Medical Center’s campuses in Harris and Callicoon, as well as its primary care practices. Mr. Kuriger is slated to begin on December 30. Rosemary Frado, Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Interim CEO, will return to her role as Vice President of Planning and Marketing for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System.

Mr. Kuriger has more than 30 years of hospital administration experience. Prior to joining Catskill Regional Medical Center, Mr. Kuriger served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer/Corporate Responsibility Officer at Seton Health System in Troy, N.Y. His career has included senior leadership positions at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, N.H., Stamford Health System in Stamford, Conn., and Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington, Conn. Mr. Kuriger is a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, Mass., and holds a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Connecticut in Stamford and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
