At Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills and Garnet Health Doctors, formerly known as Catskill Regional Medical Center – Catskills and Catskill Regional Medical Group, your health and safety have always been our highest priority. We want to assure you that every precaution is being taken to keep you safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HOW WE PROMOTE SAFETY AT THE HOSPITAL

Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills has resumed elective outpatient surgery and procedures and been working diligently to provide the safest possible care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Upon scheduling, all outpatients are screened by questionnaire for COVID-19 symptoms.
  • All hospital staff are wearing masks at all times.
  • Social distancing practices are in place and seating in many public areas and waiting rooms of our facilities will have additional spacing to allow for social distancing.
  • Plastic shielding has been installed in some areas to further enhance infection control.
  • Patients are appropriately distanced during the time they spend with us.
  • When entering the hospital, outpatients will have their temperature taken and screened for fever.
  • COVID-19 positive patients are isolated from other patients. Staff caring for COVID-19 patients will wear all appropriate PPE and remove contaminated PPE before entering non-COVID areas.
  • Any patient having an invasive procedure or surgery will be tested for COVID-19 three days prior to the procedure date and also screened for symptoms via phone prior to the procedure. If admission is required, non-COVID 19 patients are admitted to a room that only includes non-COVID-19 patients.
  • Aggressive cleaning and disinfecting processes have been implemented throughout the building.
  • To protect the health of our patients and our staff visitation is currently restricted.

OUTPATIENT VISITS & YOUR DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS

We have created a safe and secure environment during the COVID-19 pandemic and are highly trained on how to protect our patients, families and each other when caring for patients.

Don’t delay your medical needs or ignore symptoms that you would typically visit or call your doctor about.

How we promote COVID-19 safety at our doctor’s offices:

  • Upon scheduling, all patient are screened by questionnaire for COVID-19 symptoms

  • Temperature checks of anyone entering any of our 8 locations.
  • Social distancing practices are in place
  • Appointments are staggered to minimize the number of people in an area and seating in many public areas and waiting rooms of our facilities will have additional spacing to allow for social distancing.
  • Social distancing signs help direct safe patient flow in our buildings.
  • Plastic shielding has been installed in some areas to further enhance infection control.
  • Patients are appropriately distanced during the time they spend with us.
  • Aggressive cleaning and disinfecting processes have been implemented throughout our facilities
  • Telehealth visits are now available, too
